In 2021 Chippewa Cooperative Preschool received the Child Care Stabilization grant in the amount of $30,000 through the Michigan Department of Education. This grant money allowed Chippewa to refinish the hardwood floors throughout the preschool and install new tile flooring. Chippewa will also be fixing the parking lot and doing underground plumbing in the near future.
Chippewa Cooperative Preschool was awarded a $21,100 grant during the 2018-2019 school year. We would like to thank the Alden and Vada Dow Foundation for this grant. The preschool used the grant for a number of different upgrades to the school. The updates included the trikes, helmets, signs, the pavement to drive them on and the shed to store all the toys in. The ramp and handrail leading into the school was updated. New soffit and fascia was installed. The gutters were replaced and a new steel door was installed. We are so appreciative of this grant that allowed us to do some much needed updating to our building.
We also want to give a big thanks to all Chippewa Cooperative Preschool family and friends! Because of their donation of their time, talents, and other resources our school is thriving. It would not be possible without all of them. Thank you!
Chippewa Cooperative Preschool was awarded $15,000 of educational grants in the 2013-2014 school year. We would like to thank the Midland Area Community Foundation for granting us $10,000 to go towards an awesome new outdoor play structure, as well as the Midland County Youth Action Council for granting us $5,000 for amazing new classroom learning tools. Thanks to the Chippewa school community who organized, volunteered at, and participated in the 2013 Chippewa Chase 5K Run/Walk to raise our $3,000 of matching funds to complement these grants. We are lucky to be a part of such a devoted, caring Chippewa Cooperative Preschool family. We are so thankful to MACF and MCYAC for their generous support of our students!
